Building a Thriving, Inclusive Community for All
TICO (Thriving Inclusive Community Organization) was founded around 2019 by a group of passionate university graduates in Rwanda committed to tackling youth unemployment, social inequalities, and health challenges and were determined to create a sustainable solution. TICO is a legally registered, youth-led and youth-friendly non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering young people, particularly those from disadvantaged and vulnerable communities, by equipping them with the necessary skills and opportunities to thrive.
TICO intervenes in its mission-oriented activities through research-based approaches, providing a platform where specialists meet with beneficiaries in various training sessions and workshops. We strive to eradicate stigma and discrimination-based human rights violations by preparing academic learners with comprehensive human rights awareness.
Equipping youth with tools, knowledge, and confidence to become agents of positive change. We believe in unlocking the potential within every young person through mentorship, skills development, and opportunities that build lasting self-reliance.
Creating safe, welcoming spaces where every young person feels valued and heard. We celebrate diversity and ensure that no one is left behind regardless of background, ability, or circumstance.
Embracing creative solutions to maximize our impact on youth development. We constantly explore new approaches, technologies, and partnerships to address complex social challenges with agility and foresight.
Working together with communities to create sustainable change. We measure our success by the tangible improvements in the lives of young people and the strength of the communities we serve.
