Thriving inclusive community organization (TICO) held a productive partnership meeting with Peace Corps Rwanda at their offices, aimed at exploring impactful collaboration opportunities to advance youth wellbeing and community development in Rwanda.
Peace Corps Rwanda, an organization that engages American volunteers to work alongside Rwandan communities in the health and education sectors, shared insights on how volunteer placements, skill-sharing initiatives, and joint programming can contribute to sustainable development outcomes. The discussions focused on co-creating innovative and community-driven solutions that empower young people while strengthening local capacities.

During the meeting, Ms. Vanessa Shaw-Dore, Country Director of Peace Corps Rwanda, commended TICO for its continued commitment to youth empowerment and community transformation. She emphasized Peace Corps’ readiness to work closely with TICO to promote youth wellbeing through technical support, volunteer engagement, and collaborative programming.
TICO’s Executive Director, Mr. Habinshuti Egide, expressed sincere appreciation for the technical support and partnership approach presented by Peace Corps Rwanda. He reaffirmed TICO’s commitment to collaboration, stating that the organization is fully prepared to work hand in hand with Peace Corps to achieve greater development impact.

“We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working together to drive innovation and lasting change in Rwanda,” he noted.
This engagement marks an important step toward building a strong partnership that aligns shared values, leverages global expertise, and supports sustainable, youth-centered development in Rwanda.
